The Cornell University Food Executive Program is designed to meet the needs of current
and future leaders in the food and consumer products industries.
During their time on the Cornell campus, participants interact with world-class instructors on a wide variety of management
issues that impact the profitability of all types of food industry
firms. They also apply what they learn through group projects with other executives from leading companies around
the world.
Who Should Attend
This challenging program is targeted toward middle- and upper-level managers, or those soon be promoted into such
corporate positions. Food and CPG retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, marketers, and ancillary businesses send their current and future leaders. Participants make connections with business partners throughout the industry and leave Cornell enriched with knowledge about and new perspectives on critical industry issues.
Curriculum
The 9-day program is built around a broad-based curriculum of knowledge and skills required for senior food industry executives. Topics include investment analysis, personal leadership styles, negotiations, retailing trends, financial analysis, sleep and executive performance, format development, supply chain dynamics, and retail management. Group projects, case studies and simulations foster interaction and networking.
Schedule
The Food Executive Program begins with a reception and
dinner the evening of July 14. Classes are held from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with group and individual study in the evenings. Classes will also be held on Saturday
morning, July 18, followed by a golf tournament sponsored by Nestlé. Sunday,
July 19, is a free day until the evening when classes start again. A graduation banquet is held
on Wednesday, July 22, and participants depart Thursday morning, July 23.

Tuition covers lodging, continental breakfast, lunch, several special dinners, books, and
supplies. Transportation and personal items are not included. Accommodations include an individual room
in Cornells Statler
Hotel, located in the center of campus and providing first-class rooms and dining
facilities, as well as
state-of-the-art meeting
and conference facilities.
Application Deadline
Space in the Food Executive Program is limited, so it is important to apply
as early as possible (before April is recommended). Complete the application
form and mail or fax it to Cornell. Applicants will be accepted in the
order that applications are received.
