Food Industry Research
An active research program is an integral part of the Cornell Food Industry Management
Programa leading source of academic research on the retail and manufacturing sectors of the food industry.
The goal of FIMPs research program is to improve food system efficiency and
performance by providing timely and useful information to managers.
Research studies are generally carried out in conjunction with
food industry trade associations, individual companies, or governmental agencies. Results of this research
are presented at industry conferences and academic meetings, and through publications and industry-outreach
activities.
